What is the 1-year conversion to the German nursing profession?

The conversion to the nursing profession is a program designed for those who have graduated from a University or College Nursing program in Vietnam (the program must last for 3 years or more). However, since qualifications from Vietnam are not fully recognized in Germany, students going to Germany will have to participate in a conversion course, including both theoretical and practical training (usually lasting about 12 months - depending on the requirements of each state and the level of the student) with a salary starting from 2000 Euros/month. After completing the program, students will officially be able to practice nursing in Germany with qualifications and work permits equivalent to local residents. By possessing an international nursing certificate, students can secure stable employment with a decent income in Germany, as well as work in many other countries worldwide.

Requirements for participating in the 1-year German nursing profession conversion program

• Aged between 18 and 32.
• Graduated from a Nursing University or College in Vietnam.
• Hold a nursing practice certificate.
• Language proficiency: German language proficiency at B1, B2 level certified by the Goethe Institute Vietnam or equivalent certificates recognized by the German Embassy such as TELC, ÖSD, etc.
• Fit for working abroad according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, with no history of lung tuberculosis, hepatitis, and other infectious diseases.
• No criminal record, with good moral character.
